I am currently a visiting assistant professor in the philosophy department at Tulane University, and was recently interim director of Tulane's Cognitive Studies program.

My research—mostly in philosophy of mind, cognitive & affective neuroscience, and ethics, metaethics, & moral psychology—tends to center on issues related to negative emotion, and suffering in particular.
